A deeper look into Money Train 3
Hailed as the biggest slot release of 2023 and perhaps of all time, Money Train 3 is a masterpiece that manages to push all the right boundaries whilst keeping the elements that fans love from the series. Released in September 2022, the slot is set in a futuristic biopunk world and brings back everyone’s favourite characters for a brand-new adventure.

Did you always know that there was going to be a Money Train 3 or was it purely down to the success of Money Train 2?
Callum Sultana: The idea to build Money Train 3 came about while we were producing the second instalment as we could already feel we were onto something special. However, the plan was only cemented when we saw the audience’s response to the game.
The performance of Money Train 2 and the feedback we received from fans, streamers, and operators made the third build an easy decision. We take every game very seriously so we would have never attempted Money Train 3 if we didn’t feel the game was going to be much better than anything else we had previously produced.
What does Money Train 3 have that other slots do not? How does it stand out against other upcoming releases?
Callum Sultana: All upcoming Relax releases have a unique quality about them, we pride ourselves on injecting a standout element into every game. However, what sets Money Train 3 apart, is the versatility of player experiences.

What lessons did you learn from the previous Money Train slots that helped with the development of Money Train 3?
Callum Sultana: We learnt volumes from each game but I think one of the most important lessons derived from past games is that the UX needs to be incredibly clearer; making spin cycles effortless to follow.
With this in mind, we purposely slow the game tempo in key moments as well as introducing elements like the ghost numbers during quick stops to speed up the less important ones. This essentially makes Money Train 3 enjoyable for all types of players and not just experienced ones.
With such tremendous design and charming characters in Money Train 3, can you explain the storyline?
Callum Sultana: The Money Train storyline has always followed a group of bandits in their attempts at stealing loot. Each instalment sees their environment and abilities evolve with the maximum win cap only getting bigger.
In Money Train 3 the protagonists are in a futuristic biopunk world, with amplified weapons and skillsets while the win cap has grown to the highest ever at 100,000x bet!
Money Train 3 has an explosive maximum win of 100,000x the stake which is double the maximum win of Money Train 2. How did Relax Gaming decide on this amazing maximum win?
Callum Sultana: In theory, we could have chosen any number for the maximum win cap for Money Train 3 as the game could award over a trillion times the initial bet! We landed on the 100,000x number for a few different reasons, the main ones being excitement and attainability.
Can you ever see the Money Train series getting a Dream Drop addition?
Callum Sultana: Both are products that perform very well and are innovations in their own right, so anything could happen! However, there are no plans for a production of this kind in the first quarter of 2023.
As Money Cart 1 and Money Cart 2 have been incredibly successful, can players expect a Money Cart 3 inspired by Money Train 3?
Callum Sultana: Yes, we hope to see all Money Train fans get a taste of the latest sequel so players can expect a Money Cart variety sometime next year.

What does the future of the Money Train series look like?
Callum Sultana: It’s very hard to say at this point, the brand holds a lot of value and we always want to do the slot justice. Unless we are absolutely certain that we can improve the current sequel we won’t be confirming any projects or attempting a fourth. With the success of the latest game going strong the future of the brand is always on our minds!
Lastly, we know that you always have something great up your sleeve so what can players look forward to from Relax Gaming?
Callum Sultana: We have big plans for 2023. Players should expect some new Dream Drop Jackpot games in addition to a couple of sequels to our most popular games; perhaps a few combinations of the two as well as some truly unique content from what the market has seen so far.
