Instant Win Gaming to release Street Fighter II slot
There's a new fighter on the court
It's been announced that Instant Win Gaming (IWG) has teamed up with Capcom to produce an online slot based on Street Fighter II as it's one of the highest-grossing video games of all time.
This new collaboration with Capcom will allow the company to produce its own instant game based on the game for Virginia's Lottery's online casino. This is certainly a title that will attract those from both iGaming and video games.
NetEnt's Street Fighter II
The announcement of this news comes shortly after IWG congratulated Virginia Lottery on becoming the first US lottery to launch separate instant games sharing progressive jackpots.
However, it's worth noting that this is not the first Street Fighter slot as NetEnt released Street Fighter II: The World Warrior Slot in 2020. This game became a hit at slot sites and features familiar faces such as Ryu, Chun-Li, Blanka and E-Honda to name a few.

“Did not hesitate in accepting this request,” says IWG
Rhydian Fisher, CEO at IWG, stated: “When the team at the Virginia Lottery approached us about developing a Street Fighter eInstant, we did not hesitate in accepting this request.”
He commented: “It’s particularly gratifying when your lottery partner suggests a unique brand and we’re able to secure the rights. We’re very excited to be collaborating with Virginia Lottery and Capcom, and look forward to delivering a knockout game later this year.”
“Street Fighter remains hugely popular,” says Virginia Lottery
Rob Wesley, Deputy Executive Director of Lottery at Virginia Lottery, said: “Street Fighter remains hugely popular with a loyal following that first experienced the original games decades ago.”
He added: “Given the franchise is celebrating its 35th anniversary, we wanted to use its strong nostalgic brand to help us to hit our acquisition goals and contribute to our continued eInstant sales growth. We look forward to seeing strong results when the game goes live in September.”
