AvatarUX extends distribution agreement with Light & Wonder
The distribution agreement now covers existing and brand-new games
Back in October 2022, there was great excitement as AvatarUX joined forces with the industry giant that is Light & Wonder. The original plan was to collaborate on a new series of slot games over the following three years. That’s still going ahead, but the distribution element of the agreement has now been extended to cover existing games, to the delight of both parties.
According to the terms of the original agreement, AvatarUX was tasked with creating eight brand new slot games utilising the PopWins™ and MultiPop™ mechanics. These games would then be launched across a vast operator network using the OPENGAMING™ platform. But within a few weeks of the partnership, the terms have now been amended to cover additional slots that are already being enjoyed by players in some jurisdictions.
North American markets open up for AvatarUX
It’s a sign of the faith that Light & Wonder has in the game mechanics that the distribution agreement has been extended in this way. Light & Wonder now plans to release some of the most popular titles from the AvatarUX catalogue on its OPENGAMING™ platform. This will ensure a huge audience for popular favourites including CherryPop™ and MonkeyPop™.

Light & Wonder has a reach that extends across jurisdictions previously unavailable to AvatarUX, including North America. The operator’s platform is one of the best-known in the slot site industry, so this is big news for the team at AvatarUX.
Things are moving faster than originally planned since the first titles to launch are popular with players who are aware of AvatarUX games. They’re ready to be launched across new markets within a matter of weeks, with both sides anticipating a positive response from players.
New opportunities for AvatarUX
Over at AvatarUX, CEO Niki Longmuir confirms that the partnership has already proved to be a great success. She mentions the iconic status of Light & Wonder and is delighted to have the opportunity to launch current games into new markets, including the US. She’s confident this is a collaboration that will benefit both organisations.
Steve Mayes, who is Digital Head of Partnerships at Light & Wonder reports that joining forces with AvatarUX has enabled both sides to work together to their mutual advantage, progressing faster than anticipated. He is “thrilled to expand this [agreement] further to include additional top-performing content that is hugely popular with players.”
