The pictures are various animals that you'll find out in this mountain environment. The wolf symbol is wild and will substitute for the royals and pictures. On its own, these have a value of between 2x and 40x for a group of matching symbols.
Money symbols will most certainly catch your eye during the base game but they aren't going to be a lot of use to you for a moment. They can appear anywhere and you'll see random cash values, which are multipliers of your bet amount. Standard multiplier values are between 0.5x and 15x. The jackpots pay between 20x and 1000x.
Landing six or more of these money symbols will trigger the respin feature and your regular reels disappear. What you are faced with now is a little different and quite exciting at the same time. There are four grids available and you need to try and make your way through all of them.
The first 5x3 grid offers three spins and each time a money symbol lands, those spins reset. Hit nine of them and you will unlock the second grid. There's nothing different about this grid except now you need 18 money symbols between the 1st and 2nd grid to unlock the third.
Once you have 32 symbols distributed between those three grids, you come up against the final 5x1 grid. Now, special modifiers are available.
If you run out of spins or you completely fill all of the grids, the game ends and you are awarded all of the symbol values on the grids.
Players outside the UK can increase their chances of landing the feature by paying an additional 0.6x per spin. There is also a buy feature option which costs 80x.
I began my bonus adventure with six money symbols and spent a little while spinning around the first grid. Eventually, I had amassed 9 symbols and unlocked the second. I wasn't there very long before I ran out of spins though. My final cash sum was a little over 60x.
These symbols can appear on all reels and present values between 0.4x and 15x. If a jackpot appears as the money symbol, you can land between 20x and 1000x your bet. You'll need to enter the Money Respin feature to benefit.

The animations were a little jarring when I played on my mobile phone and I'm not sure what happens to the music as you move into the bonus game but it nearly triggered a migraine.
We've been here before with Wolf Gold, but at least the first version had some free spins to add to the excitement. They've disappeared but the max win has increased, so it’s swings and roundabouts in that respect. Jackpot prizes are still present, although they've now shrunk but at least the imagery has got a little better(ish).
