For a winning combination, you need 3 matching symbols to land within the 10 paylines, which begin from the left of the grid. There are 8 regular symbols. Your 4 high payers are, in ascending order, Data, Mouth, Mikey and The Black Pirate flag. 5-of-a-kind awards between 10x to 100x your bet. Given the success of its predecessors, The Goonies and The Goonies Return, it was almost inevitable that Blueprint Gaming would bring out another instalment, although this time, as the name suggests, Hey You Guys is a lot more Sloth-oriented.
Aesthetically, the game is impressive with sharp graphics and vibrant colours, although the layout is very similar to previous Goonies-themed instalments. It’s fun to see our favourite characters, although how Mikey’s symbol is worth more than Mouth’s, I don’t know—Corey Feldman stole the show for me.
It also genuinely brought a smile to my face to hear Sloth’s familiar cry of ‘Hey, you guys’, and not just because I knew I was in for a chance to win more money. That said, I’d advise you to turn the volume down unless you want to scare yourself and anyone else within 10 metres.
The whimsical music is fun at first, but it does get a little repetitive. Along with the setting, a dark, booby-trapped cave, things can appear a little dull after a while. But that does change when Sloth makes an appearance.
It’s a simple enough slot. A Sloth Scatter symbol needs to fall in order to collect your Cash symbols. 3 to 5-of-a-kind of your standard pay symbols payout, too, and at any time, you can be awarded a Bonus game.
