Other symbols of note include wilds and these come in various shapes and sizes. Shields can be single, double or triple symbols and they'll only act as a wild if they are triple symbols that are fully in view. However, land a warrior next to a partial shield and this will also turn the shield into a wild.
The most potent wild is the princess and she might land adjacent to the shields to not only turn them wild but also any shields that are adjacent to them vertically or horizontally.
The bonus game starts when you land between 3 and 5 scatter symbols. For achieving this, you get 8, 12 or 20 spins. You can get up to 20 more free spins throughout the bonus game when you land additional scatter symbols.
The benefit of being in the bonus area is that a wild princess is present from the start and she's not going anywhere. Throughout the spins, she may move around to different reels, all the while producing her wild abilities. There is a feature buy option for players outside the UK, which comes at the cost of 60x.
I grabbed myself eight free spins courtesy of three scatter symbols, and as indicated, the princess wild was there. Fortunately for me, she was sat on the first reel. At one point, she transformed various shields into wilds and picked me up an 18x win. Not much else happened though and the game ended with a 21x total payout.
Shields can land partially in view or cover the reel. As a partial symbol, they are no good to you but as a fully visible symbol, they act as a wild. If a warrior symbol lands next to a partial shield, it transforms into a wild.
The princess is a wild symbol and also transforms any adjacent shields that are only partially in view into wilds. Any shields adjacent to those shields will also become wild.
Between three and five scatter symbols trigger up to 20 spins – further free spins are available when you land extra scatters during the bonus. You get a princess wild at the start of the feature and she stays on the reels throughout the bonus. She can move to other positions and extra princess symbols can also join in.
It's hard to see how huge stake multipliers are possible in this game as the wild symbols are the only real modification. When you consider the 3,425x max win, it all makes sense. It's going to take some time to get that bonus game producing such a payout but it could well be possible. The volatility is high, so huge wins might arrive every so often. The RTP it's just below 96%.
