The action takes place on a 6x4 grid which has been placed in front of a sunset and some pyramids. This highly volatile slot has an RTP of 96.38% and there are 4,096 ways to win. You just need matching symbols to land on 3 adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel. 9 to Ace are the low-pay symbols. Land 6-of-a-kind and you’ll win between 0.5x and 1.2x the stake. The high pays consist of The Eye or Ra, a Scarab beetle, an Egyptian werewolf thing, and a skull pharaoh.
The skull pharaoh will actually pay out even if you only hit two matching symbols. 6-of-kind of this and the other high-pay symbols will pocket you 1.5x to 15x the stake. There are two Wilds symbols. The gameplay, in general, is decent. Winning combinations seemed a fairly rare occurrence while I was playing. The double, triple or even quadruple game areas in the Bonus Round are on another level, though—really fun and engaging.
There are 4,096 win ways, although the value of some wins in the standard game is a little underwhelming. That’s hardly the case in the Bonus round, however. On top of that, you’ve got a decent max win of 20,480x, which can be increased but doesn't form part of the developer's official bumf. Plus the 96.38% isn’t too shabby, either.
Fun standard game. Better Bonus Round. Even better soundtrack! I’d be hard-pressed to find someone who Sanctuary wouldn’t appeal to. It’s only arguably let down by some fairly mediocre visuals.
