Robin of Sherwood Review
Across the world, Robin Hood is known as a legendary heroic outlaw that was originally depicted in English folklore. As one of the biggest figures within British lore, it's only natural that Robin Hood has led to many different spin-offs.
Rabcat Gambling decided to give its own interpretation of the outlaw in Robin of Sherwood. Playing on 5-reels with 243 ways to win, this adventure slot contains free spins, royal clearing and wild turning leading to triumphant wins.
Design
It's clear that the art department at Rabcat clear put its best team on Robin of Sherwood. All of the characters are extremely detail and look similar to DreamWorks' artwork from How to Train Your Dragon.
The whole gang is here with Robin, Little John, Friar Tuck, Maid Marian and the Sheriff of Nottingham. Each of the characters all look like animated characters from a high budget film.
In terms of the background, players will find the view is absolutely stunning with a forest filled with colourful trees, birds chirping and a medieval castle in the distance. It all comes together brilliantly.
Of course, this is improved by dramatic music playing throughout spins. This music consists of violins, guitars and other big instruments to create a huge impact.
Gameplay
There may not seem to be a lot going on in this slot - but there is enough for players to be entertained. The royal clearing and wild turning definitely shake up the gameplay, whilst free spins are just a staple.
As for the menus, everything the player will need in surrounding the reels. The paytable is even designed to look like a scroll which is not only cool to see but also easy to read.
Win Potential
Whilst the gameplay and design are both fantastic, the win potential is certainly lacking. There is a medium volatility level paired with an under the average RTP of 95.86% which is odd for a normal slot without a jackpot or brand.
In addition to this, players can only win up to 4,000x the stake which will put off some players. Whilst this is not a bad amount, it's under the expected average for an online slot.
Our Verdict
As far as Robin Hood slots go, this one is definitely the most impressive visually and is thrilling to play. The use of royal clearing and wild turning is an interesting addition to free spins.
Of course, the low RTP will put off some players which is a shame as the rest of the game is incredible. If you want to experience the magic of a stunning and fun Robin Hood slot, then give Robin of Sherwood a spin.
