When people think of Irish slots, they immediately think of Rainbow Riches and the famous leprechaun. Other see the series as bland and boring with no life at all.
That is certainly not the case with SG Digital's Rainbow Riches: Midnight Magic which takes players on an enchanting quest in the moonlight. Unlike other slots within this series, this magic slot contains a unique Super Dial feature increasing the chances to trigger free spins.
Design
There's no denying that many Rainbow Riches slots can look quite tacky, but Rainbow Riches: Midnight Magic thankfully looks pretty decent. There is a midnight sky paired with a moon and a rainbow which feels like a mushroom trip.
Around the reels, there are different plants and trees that are animated as well as a tasteful-looking pot of god. On the reels, the symbols are all bright but it's not too overbearing as there is a dark background to contrast this.
During spins, there is a soft guitar score playing throughout and this intensifies during spins. Thankfully, this is never too obnoxious and does not get annoying.
Gameplay
Despite only having 5-reels with 10 paylines, Rainbow Riches: Midnight Magic is quite entertaining and has enough to keep players engaged. The Super Dial and free spins features are both unique and different enough to provide a new experience for fans of the series.
The bottom of the screen contains the spin button and bet level, whilst the Super Dial button is just to the right of the reels. All other menus can be found on the black bar at the bottom of the screen.
Win Potential
What stops Rainbow Riches: Midnight Magic from becoming a classic is the win potential. The RTP is pretty good for a Rainbow Riches slot with a level of 96% and there is a medium volatility level giving a mixture of high and low volatility gameplay.
Sadly, the maximum win is what lets down this slot as players can only win up to 1,000x the stake and this is through the free spins feature. Players looking for bigger wins in Rainbow Riches should give Rainbow Riches Megaways or Rainbow Riches Power Mix.

Rainbow Riches: Midnight Magic is a refreshing Rainbow Riches slot that had the potential to be a new fan favourite with the Super Dial mechanic and the free spins round's upgrade feature.
Sadly, the slot fails to reach the legendary status due to the low win potential. Despite all of this, Rainbow Riches: Midnight Magic is absolutely incredible and should definitely be tried out by fans of the series.
