Most monster-themed slots take place in outer space. But Pragmatic Play decided that this one should head deep underground to an unexplored world full of goo and lava.

All of the characters are weirdly cute and it doesn't take long to form a bit of a soft spot for these ugly bugs. The cluster win technology builds up huge numbers of like-minded symbols which not only creates fantastic wins straight away but can also trigger the multiplier feature. Literally, every spin has you waiting with anticipation. We are pretty sure that this slot is going to be an instant hit.

Design

We have sung the praises of Pragmatic Play’s slot design many times before. They seem to have struck a winning formula with their audiovisuals and manage to incorporate the reel set perfectly into the overall theme.

The graphics are fairly standard in that they are cartoon-esque and not a whole lot of animation takes place. But the colours are vibrant and the music is spooky but cheerful.

One of our favourite moments is when the free spins bonus triggers and ends. A swathe of green gloop flows down over the screen to set the scene for the next part of the game.

Gameplay

As we mentioned before, it isn't a relentless slog through the base game. The multiplier feature combined with the reverse-tumbling reels makes every spin enjoyable, so no one is desperately waiting for the free spins bonus. But when it does arrive, feel free to look a little smug as you're safe in the knowledge that some of the biggest wins will be found at this point.

Win Potential

The game advertises a highly volatile structure. However, our experience was slightly different. We didn't have long periods without wins and it didn't take too much effort to trigger the bonus round.

Obviously, everyone's experience is different but it just felt like the volatility was edging more towards medium. The RTP is just over 96% and the maximum multiplier possible is 5,000x stake.

Our Verdict

As you can probably tell, we loved Monster Superlanche. Special game mechanics like tumbling reels always adds an extra edge of entertainment. They keep the game flowing nicely and fill it with anticipation at the same time.

Fantastic multipliers are always a welcome addition and adding them together during the free spins bonus has you on the edge of your seat. You'd be a fool to ignore this slot!
