Where will it end? I'm fairly sure it won't, and as long as people keep playing them, Hacksaw will keep making them. Le Vampire has slipped through the net, and I'm willing to give this one a review, but others have not been so lucky. I hope the bats don't let me down.
If you're interested in landing a standard win, then you need at least 5 matching symbols to land in a cluster. The best you can get is 100x, and that seems to be for a group of 14 or more muskets or skulls.
To improve those payouts, winning symbols will be removed, and other matching symbols of the same type will also disappear. New ones drop in to complete the grid, and a square will form where symbols were taken.
If a rainbow lands on the grid, it'll activate those squares, and these will reveal coins. Epic rainbows will treat all grid positions as golden squares and bring even more coins. The best coins are the diamond ones, and these are worth up to 500x. Clover symbols will multiply the coin values by up to 20x, and a bag of gold will collect the coin values.
Moving away from the base game isn't the most exciting prospect in this series of slots, but it should hopefully bring you bigger and better payouts. You'll need at least 3 scatter symbols to land, or you'll have to pay 60x if you live outside of the UK and don't want to wait around.
Nothing much changes – you just see some of the symbols stick around a little longer. The standard game ensures that squares stick around until rainbows highlight them, and the super version will bring you epic rainbows with your next spin.
As with most games in this series, the golden squares are an integral part of the show because you see them appear when winning symbols are removed. If rainbow symbols land, the squares turn into special coins, and these are worth up to 500x. Collectors and multipliers can improve these payouts.
You can have 10 free spins if you land 3 or more scatter symbols, but you won't see the game change too much. Special squares will remain highlighted until a rainbow activates them though. The second bonus round sees the squares remain even after they're activated, and the super version will guarantee an epic rainbow symbol with each spin.
It's a familiar sight and the same old story as far as win potential is concerned. The max payout is 15,000x, and the volatility is set at medium. Not all games follow this pattern in the series, but it is becoming fairly standard. You do have the added benefit of quite a low minimum bet value of 0.05 though. As usual, the best work can be done when the rainbows and squares appear together, and having the bronze coin symbols removed by the blood squares could be a distinct benefit.
A different day, a different Le, and there are no prizes for guessing that Smokey is dressed as a vampire. He finds himself in a vampire's castle and carries a different object in his left hand, as is customary. There's nothing to set this game apart from any of the others, so it all comes down to personal preference. The soundtrack is quite nice though, so you might find that helps you choose between the ‘Le’ slots.
I thought we were going to see something a little different, and to be fair to Hacksaw, there was a little extra blood that makes those squares and rainbows even more powerful. That should hopefully boost the win potential for some players, but in terms of gameplay, don't expect anything you haven't seen before. If I hadn't played these games a million times over the last couple of years, I’d probably be raving about Le Vampire, so perhaps bear that in mind if you're considering a few spins.
