Max Win W.P.D Review
Max Win W.P.D. from iSoftBet is a fantastic action-adventure game that gives you 5 reels, 3 rows and an impressive top prize of 8,000x. While not immediately clear from the name, Max Win W.P.D. is a prison-themed game, and your best friend in it is the Chief of Police, Max.
With his help, you’ll scale the prison walls and meet lots of fun, grizzly-looking inmates, the odd police dog and a random angry woman with a walkie-talkie (we're not quite sure if she's on our side or not!)
This is a fast-paced game that has some great added extras but is still extremely easy to play. With a standard 5x3 grid, wilds, multipliers and a free spins round, the team at iSoftBet have done a great job of making a straightforward game into an epic adventure that is genuinely fun to play.
Design
We were really impressed with the design, theme and graphics of Max Win W.P.D. Of course, being a prison-themed game means there are lots of bars, barbed wire and metal gates, and iSoftBet has created a very atmospheric game with some fun and unique touches.
A particular favourite of ours is the shower of dollars, bars of soap and toothbrushes that all fire up from the bottom of the screen when you land a big win!
We also liked the addition of the police spotlight, which is constantly roaming around the screen and helps to give a real Prison Break vibe to the game. Furthermore, the symbols of the prisoners, Police badges, Chief Max, the cons and rabid-looking Police dogs are all fantastically done and really bring this theme together.
Finally, with a big-budget American cop drama soundtrack, complete with sirens and the clanging of metal gates closing, this Police-themed game has been fantastically designed down to the very last detail.
Gameplay
As mentioned, Max Win W.P.D. is rather surprising in that it comes across as a very complex and sophisticated game. This is due to the high quality of graphics and lots of symbols. However, strip it back and this is a very simple slot game, and even its special features are at the more basic end of the scale.
But that is not to say that this game is boring. In fact, because Max Win W.P.D. is so easy to get to grips with, and it doesn't come with lots of the bells and whistles we've come to expect from big-budget slot games, all that's left to do is have fun with this extraordinarily enjoyable game.
As a standard slot, your aim is to match symbols across the reels going left to right. And with 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 paylines, Max Win W.P.D. is about as standard as you can get for a slot. Of course, you have wilds, scatters and multipliers to help you on your way to that 8,000x top prize. And a nice addition is that the wilds can become sticky and award multipliers in the Free Spins round.
Win Potential
With a top prize of 8,000x up for grabs, as well as Police Chief Max dishing out random multipliers of 25x or more, Max Win W.P.D. certainly has potential to be a rather lucrative game. However, due to this game’s very average RTP of 96%, very high volatility and just 10 paylines, you might be waiting around for some time before you see any noteworthy wins.
That's not to say they're not there waiting for you on the other side of the prison wall, but don't be disappointed if you have to ‘serve some time’ before cashing out a sizable sum.
Our Verdict
It's fair to say we had a great time with Max Win W.P.D. The prison theme is always a fun one, and this is an especially good example of the genre done right. The graphics and animations have been expertly thought out and executed, and the graphics and sounds really pull this game together.
Plus, with fast and dynamic gameplay and just the right amount of special features to make it exciting, Max Win W.P.D. offers a great gaming session while you attempt to make off with that 8,000x top prize.
