The 5x3 game area provides just 25 paylines and wins must begin on the left-hand reel. Between 3 and 5 matching symbols can grab you a payout with the royals being the least valuable. For this, you can achieve up to 1.20x.
The picture symbols, which are a fiddle, pie, beer, barmaid and leprechaun, will pay between 0.20x and 2x.
Luckily, a wild symbol can help by substituting for those mentioned above but even that symbol will struggle to make base game wins very attractive.
Green, red and blue coins will also land while you spin and you notice that these have cash values attached to them. Some are as low as 0.6x while others can reach up to 30x. You may also see the Mini, Minor or Major jackpots. The Mini pays 20x and the Major provides 150x. However, you aren't going to land these values just yet.
Hitting one of the three coloured coins not only lets you watch it fly up to the corresponding pot but you could also trigger the bonus game. Essentially, there are three bonus games to play but they all provide pretty much the same thing.
The basic premise is that you have only coin symbols landing and for each one that does, you'll renew your three spins. If you're unlucky enough to go three spins without a coin symbol, you return to the base game with any of the current values that have stuck to the coins so far.
Triggering with the green bonus coin starts the respin feature and upgrades the value of up to three coins each time a new respin takes place.

It's a mystery to me why the basic symbol values are so low when the only way you can enhance them is via a wild symbol. Even that doesn't exactly boost the prize values – it just makes it easier to hit them. Understandably, I failed to hit anything decent throughout the base game and it did feel like a bonus waiting room.
Thankfully, it didn't take too long to trigger the respins bonus and it took me away to play with all three modifiers. After a bit of a shaky start, I began to see some coin values upgrade and just before the end, the Major jackpot turned up. With this 150x payout in the bank, I was able to see over 200x by the end of it.
I don't know why Pragmatic decided to go for an Oriental St Patrick's Day feel with this slot. There doesn't seem to be much point to the Oriental aspect as all the imagery is very Irish and it didn't exactly need a quirky helping hand. A bit of a swing and a miss.
Low symbol values, an odd design and a lack of diverse features all combined to help this slot fail to get off the ground. I imagine it's a reskin of several other Pragmatic games but the odd design mix has thrown me off the scent!
