Get bonusIt's time to Lock and Pop with Netent’s latest slot creation. I'm not exactly sure what's going to lock and/or indeed pop but it sounds like an exciting premise nonetheless! What we have here is a low to medium volatility game with a heavy focus on the free spins bonus round and a top win of 4,046x.

Lock and Pop seems to refer to the strange occurrences during the free spins bonus part of this game. It's here where all the modifying action takes place and your multiplier prize total starts to get out of control. There isn't much to trouble you throughout the base game - in fact, you might find this part a little basic.
You might be wondering why the top and bottom rows in this game don't seem to do anything. It's a fair point, but all I’ll tell you at the moment is that it makes sense during the bonus game.
For the most part, you'll be spinning the reels in the base game with a 5x3 setup. Across these reels are 20 paylines and some very standard symbols that are used to collect winning combos. The royal symbols fetch up to 2x for a group of 5 and the picture symbols can grow to 7.5x for 5 of the diamonds.
Wild symbols appear on any of the reels and will substitute for other regular payers. You'll also notice the prize symbols with values ranging from 0.5 x to 1,000x but you can't do anything with them during the base game, other than hope for 6 of them to trigger the 7 free spins.
When you manage this, you'll see that the prize symbols stick in place and it's only prize symbols that are spinning around on the reels throughout the feature.
The multiplier figures that are contained within the prize symbols eventually make their way to the top reel that opens up when the bonus begins. A complete reel of prize symbols brings a modifier to the bottom reel and most of these affect the aforementioned multiplier figure. There are 10 bonus feature symbols to increase your wins.
6 prize symbols, anywhere on the reels, are enough to take you to the bonus game. Prize symbols stick in place and the 2 extra rows now come into play with various features to build the final prize multiplier.
Filling a row with prize symbols during the bonus game releases 1 of the features that modify your multiplier total. Prize values increase, collector symbols bring values together and you could even see a duplicate game area.
You won't find huge win potential during the base game and this is a shame as it can take a while to amass enough prize symbols to trigger the bonus. Some players outside the UK can use the Buy Feature button and pick up 7 free spins in exchange for 60x their bet. I took advantage of this demo option and was lucky enough to see how those 10 feature symbols really bring this game to life. After several modifications, my final payout was around 150x. While that isn't anywhere near the 4,046x max win, I was quite happy with the results! Given the low / medium volatility, you should see your balance bobbing along quite nicely as you wait for a slightly bigger win to appear. The RTP is 96.09%.
Once again, NetEnt has gone back towards Starburst territory with a simple purple background and shapes that depict an outer space theme - it’s not exactly an artistic masterpiece. The soundtrack is along a similar vein as well with some random synth noises to occupy your ears and you can pick this up on mobile devices as well.
It's an extremely simple base game which lacks excitement and any real modifications to keep you spinning for long. I imagine that players who don't reach the bonus game quite quickly will walk away. That said, if you're happy to wait for the bonus game or are in a position to buy directly in, then big wins can be found. I saw the multiplier figure grow to incredible heights during my 7 free spins and you might be lucky enough to witness the same.
