Little Gem Review
The Hold & Spin mechanic is a staple within the respin community and is one that jumps out as a solid mechanic. Pragmatic Play decided to combine traditional fruit machine slots with the Hold & Spin mechanic in Little Gem.
Playing on 3-reels with 5 paylines, this medium volatility slot features expanding wilds and Hold & Spins leading to wins of up to 2,460x your stake.
As the name suggests, there are various gems and sparkles in the distance from the slot. They are beautifully animated but are still quite simple.
All of the gems are shining and look quite extravagant. Sadly, there is little sound or music throughout which is a bit disappointing as we'd expect perhaps some music similar to Starburst.
There's nothing overly special about the gameplay aside from the Hold & Spin mechanic paired with the expanding wilds. The gameplay is easy to follow and perfect for newcomers.
Like most Pragmatic Play slots, the menus can be found on a bar at the bottom of the screen. There is a spin button followed by the bet level on either side.
The overall win potential for this slot is quite middle of the road with a medium volatility level leading to a mixture of high and low volatility wins.
Sadly, the maximum win is only 2,460x your stake which is low for an online slot and quite disappointing. As for the RTP, that is quite high with a respectable level of 96.70% leading to some decent wins at times.
Little Gem is a strange slot from Pragmatic Play and quite disappointing at times. The only really stand out thing from the slot is the Hold & Spin mechanic but it feels like the developers have literally just added this mechanic and thrown the rest together.
Fans of the respin mechanic and traditional fruit machine players will definitely appreciate the slot but others may have a hard time getting into it.
