You don't have to wait long between releases in this series anymore, and unfortunately, the last time around there were a few floors in this undead saga. However, that looks set to change as the focus is shifted to the bonus rounds, with the base game providing more of a stopover on the way to the grand hall where you can pick up some incredible results.
As it should, it begins in the base game, and you'll notice that there's a lot going on with this grid. In its simplest format, you get to land wins when matching symbols drop on 20 paylines. The best symbols are worth up to 4x and wild symbols can substitute for regular paying symbols.
At the top of the game area is a set of cards and you unlock these as you spin the reels. The more cards that are unlocked, the better your bonus can be. There's nothing else to it other than to land the overlay tokens and head off to play the Link&Win feature.
As you know, one or more overlay tokens will trigger the bonus round, and as you unlock extra cards, the modifications become bigger and better. You have 3 respins and these are reset each time a cash coin or jackpot lands.
There are boosters available at some point and multipliers can also come to increase the payouts. Jackpots start with a number attached to them, and this reflects how many spins they must remain on the grid before you can take home the jackpot value.

The series is back to its best with some simple graphics but very in-depth backgrounds that match the classic theme tune perfectly. All of the main characters are back for another bite at this series and it looks fantastic on all compatible devices.
I might have been a little harsh on Immortal Romance 2 when it landed, but I still gave it a decent score because of the extensive feature set and top graphics. The gameplay is slightly different this time around, and while you won't find any base game modifications in Immortal Romance Assembl'em, the bonus round delivers them in abundance.
