Henry the Ape is a surprisingly nice-looking slot that combines a little jungle activity with a high-rise metropolis. There's a nice golden hour glow bringing a little shimmer to the buildings and many of the symbols have bright colours that help make them stand out. The nudge animation is pretty standard and doesn't offer anything that you weren't expecting – that's a shame as the developer could have gone for a little extra at that point. The soundtrack is pretty catchy and it fits well with the theme. As with all modern slots, you can play this ape-themed creation on mobiles as well.
Henry the Ape sounds a bit gimmicky and you might imagine that there's not a lot hidden under the hood, but I was quite impressed with the number of mini features that take place during the base game. Beyond these, you've got the bonus to look forward to and players in the UK will be pleased to know that the win potential is attractive in the base game as well. You can buy your way into the bonus, if you're allowed, but I don't think it's 100% necessary to enjoy everything that this game has to offer.
