Everybody should be clenching their wild fists as we go off in search of big multipliers and a 10,000x max win. Making our way through to The Showdown spins should also prove to be a victorious moment for some.
This motley crew doesn't immediately strike you as a bunch of savage warriors but their weapons say otherwise. They all come together on a 5x4 set of reels with 14 paylines available. Winning combos can be collected when you have groups of three, four or five royals and picture symbols.
The royals get you up to 2x for a 5-of-a-kind and the pictures will serve a 10x win. Wild symbols can jump in for those mentioned before and these also have a top win of 10x. Make a note as there's far more to the wilds than meets the eye.
Before you spin the reels, you can decide which fighters you want to play with and these can be selected at the top of the game area. Unfortunately, this only serves for entertainment purposes and won't win you any extra cash!
The wild fist reels are the main event during the base game and they carry through into the bonus area as well. As a fist symbol activates, it covers the entire reel and punches through the other symbols.
If the red symbols punch through a fighter from the green team or vice versa, a multiplier gets added to the reel. You can go through multiple fighter symbols and pick up multiple multipliers! These extra boosts are worth between 2x and 200x and you'll only see 1 fist symbol landing on a reel at any time.
Three free spins scatter symbols landing at the same time during the base game is sufficient for triggering 10 free spins. You're pretty much going to continue playing as you did in the base game but you also have the red and green teams battling it out to reach higher levels.
Teams start at level 3+ and each time the fist symbol punches through the opponent's fighter or wild symbols, the fist's team gets a point. When you've collected three Victory Points, you get a respin with an epic drop and the number of fist symbols that are guaranteed to drop will depend on the victory level.
If you get to level three, you'll have at least 3 fist symbols, level four gets you at least four and level five unsurprisingly scores five fist symbols.
You can pick up extra spins as you play when you land more FS symbols.
If you hit 4 FS symbols during the base game, then you trigger Ultimate Showdown which is very similar to the other base game but now your 10 free spins will start at Victory level 4+.
The buy bonus options are in abundance with feature spins costing 3x your bet but making it five times more likely to trigger a bonus game.
If you want each spin to guarantee at least 3 fist symbols, it'll cost you 50x and if you want each spin to provide four of them, the price is 150x. The basic free spins game has a 100x price tag and The Ultimate Showdown is priced at 250x.
Fist symbols stack to cover the entire reel and they can punch through your opponent and wild symbols along the way. As this happens, a multiplier worth up to 200x is applied to your wins.
3 or 4 bonus symbols will ignite 10 free spins and play continues in a similar fashion to the base game. The major difference is that you now have Victory levels and each time your fists punch through the opponents and wild symbols, you pick up points. Every three points get you another guaranteed batch of fist symbols. The super bonus version starts on level 4+.
The punching fists provide some welcome boosts to your wins and even during the base game, I found that what would have been a small payout was converted into something over 40x as a result. Obviously, it depends on how far up the reels they land as to how much damage they will cause. Heading into the base game makes the fists even better value as they come together to push you through the victory levels and improve your wins further with the Epic Drops. Eventually, you might see a fantastic 10,000x max win!
These unlikely heroes are a mix of pirates, rock stars, cowgirls and something with a nasty-looking bat! They have some slightly limited animations as they appear to the side of the screens and the other moving parts are formed by the boxing gloves heading up through the reels. It's got a nice comic book feel to it and a high-tempo soundtrack to keep things moving along nicely.
Expanding wilds and multipliers have been around for a long time and we've seen Hacksaw trying to reinvent this wheel on several occasions. I think it's probably time that they laid these to rest and unleashed something a little different for future creations. Don't let that stop you from playing Fighter Pit though as it's still got a lot of action to look forward to and some decent win potential.
