Thunderkick are no strangers to offering up dam good slots! I get the gnawing sensation that with Eager Beavers, they might have outdone themselves once again. It’s been a while since I’ve seen such a potentially large game area. It looks like the dam might just burst with win potential.
To win, you need to land at least 3 matching symbols on adjacent reels. The winning combinations don’t need to start from the leftmost reel. Jack to Ace and the fruit-shaped gems are the low pays, with a 6-of-a-kind pocketing you up to 0.5x the stake. The 4 different beavers are the high pays and are worth up to 5x.
Initial reel heights range between 2 and 5 symbols. Each winning-combination symbol is replaced with another symbol, and an extra symbol will be added to the same reel. This process continues until there are no more wins, so you can potentially end up with a 6x10 game area.
There are 3 different Wilds - the standard Wild substitutes for all pay symbols. The fish Wild does the same but also activates the Wild Splash feature, which picks one of the pay symbols and transforms all instances of that symbol into Wids. The log Wild activates the Wild Fall feature. This causes a random number of Wilds to fall in random locations. They can fall as singular Wilds or as stacks. There’s also the Wild Rapids feature, which can randomly trigger at any time. When this happens, a random number of Wilds are placed at the top of one or more reels. They can appear as single Wilds or in stacks.
Landing 3 scatters will trigger the Cash Bonus Game. The normal reels are replaced with special reels containing only Cash Value symbols. Their values are 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 50x and 100x. There are also the Collect, Super Collect, Upgrade, Super Upgrade, Build and Super Build symbols.
The Collect symbol adds up all the Cash Value symbols on the same reel, which are then removed and replaced by more Cash Value symbols. The Upgrade symbol upgrades all Cash Values on the same reel by 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x. The Build symbols increase the height of the same reel by a random number of positions.
The ‘Super’ equivalents of all these symbols perform the same function but with the functions applied to all reels. At the end of the Cash Bonus game, all cash value symbols and accumulated cash values are added together and then added to your balance.

I wasn’t spinning for long before I managed to trigger the bonus round. I like the extra dimension that the different cash and special symbols add, but I was a little disappointed by the fact that you effectively only get 1 spin. The Cash Bonus Game provides players with even more chances to win big. It’d be nice if there were more spins, but the cash symbol values are very high and if you’re lucky enough to land some special symbols, you could see some massive wins.
The game area is effectively a waterfall spilling over a dam, which appears to have been erected by beavers on performance-enhancing drugs. It’s a sunny day and the background is awash with pine trees. There are 6 reels and at first there are only between 2 and 5 symbols to a reel, but that can quickly increase as you play. You can end up with a 6x10 grid.
The game is quite simple, and the layout doesn’t complicate things. The graphics are quite basic too, but there are a lot of vibrant colours, so everything still looks good. The music is nice and relaxing and in the bonus game, it gets louder and is accompanied by a chorus of singing beavers - think the Chipmunks but less articulate.
I’m a big fan of Eager Beaver. I love the expanding game area and the different Wild features, as they provide lots of win potential even in the base game. And the bonus game takes the win potential to another level.
