Blue Wizard Review
Enter a world of bubbling cauldrons and magic in Blue Wizard. Developed by Playtech’s Rare Stone, Blue Wizard plays on 5-reels with 30 paylines as well as the Fire Blaze fixed jackpots.
This magical slot has a maximum win of 2,000x stake with the Grand Fire Blaze jackpot with secondary prizes at 500x, 100x and 20x with the Major, Minor and Mini jackpot respectively. Of course, the crystal balls themselves give the players extra chances for multipliers and bigger wins.
Design
Set against the background of the wizard’s house surrounded by nature, Blue Wizard is clearly inspired by supernatural elements and magical lore. The symbols on the reels include spell books and crystal balls to reinforce the mystical element.
Eerie music is played throughout the slot and continuously plays throughout. It’s heavily contrasted with the loud button noises. The sounds from the buttons and wins sounds straight from a traditional fruit machine. It’s strange to see the contrast between the synth music and the loud noises. Sure, the loud noises add excitement to the reels but it feels out of place with everything else.
Gameplay
The first thing you’ll probably notice is the Fire Blaze jackpot above the reels with Mini, Minor, Major and Grand highlighted. Everything else can be found underneath the reels with the spin button to the far right next to the autospin. Up to 100 autospins can be selected with a maximum bet of 500.00.
Win Potential
The RTP is at a brilliant 96.50% and features the Fire Blaze Jackpot with 4 fixed cash prizes. From this jackpot, players can win up to 2,000x their stake. The bubbling cauldron can pay out up to 40x your stake, whilst the book of spells can pay out up to 30x your stake.
Our Verdict
Now, the overall aesthetic of the slot is spot on. The background, the characters and the ambient music is perfect to create a magical slot - the only criticism has to be the odd traditional fruit machine sounds.
Gameplay is pretty satisfying as well as the Fire Black Jackpot, but it’s a little disappointing that the maximum win for the slot is 2,000x your stake through the jackpot. As it’s a high volatility slot, the lower maximum win may put some players off.
If you love magical slots and the payout doesn’t put you off, then definitely try Blue Wizard. For those of you wanting a better payout, try Blirix Workshop instead.
