With its unusual title, I was quite excited to see what Big Bam Book was all about. If you imagine Kung Fu Panda on steroids, you're probably on the right track! Big Bam Book is a rather nice-looking slot game. I like the tranquil, pastel-coloured backdrop, and Bam and his chums have been animated nicely. The symbols are perhaps not the most interesting, but they have been done well, and the free spins round is definitely more visually exciting than the base game.
There's no real soundtrack to speak of, apart from some birds chirping in the background and some fun noises when you land a combo or a win. I feel like Push Gaming could have done a bit more with this game. Given that the promotional imagery shows a beefed-up Ninja Warrior-looking panda and a rabble of tough friends, this doesn't really translate into the peaceful and serene game I just played!
If I had one word to describe this game it would be ‘nice’. There's not all too much to say about Big Bam Book. The theme is unusual but not very well executed. The visuals are pleasant and the soundtrack is almost non-existent.
The gameplay is somewhat entertaining, but the fun is definitely to be found in the free spins round with the Mystery Bamboo symbols.
