Age of the Gods Ruler of the Sky
Age of the Gods Ruler of the Sky is a 5-reel, 40 payline slot developed by Playtech that features a Mighty Pegasus Free Games bonus that can potentially see stacked wilds appear on all reels as well as four iconic Age of the Gods progressive jackpots that can make lucky punters millionaires with just one spin of the reels.
This slot feels slightly dated, but don't let that detract from the fact that it looks pretty stunning. Behind the reels is a beautifully designed landscape featuring rolling hills and jagged mountains, a glistening lake and a cloudy sky that sees fluffy white clouds fly by with some speed.
The reels themselves are a vibrant shade of purple covered in gold trim. Low paying symbols are your standard card symbols 9, 10, J, Q, K, A. High paying symbols include Ares' helmet, Orpheus' lyre, a stereotypical ancient Greek vase and the Parthenon.
Age of the Gods Ruler of the Sky does fall a little bit short in terms of sound, there is a slow generic soundtrack that plays as the reels spin, and it didn't do much in the way of getting our heart rate up.
This slot is laid out exactly as you'd expect a classic slot in the Age of the Gods series to be. There's an action bar along the bottom of the reels, on the left-hand side there's an info button that details everything to do with the game including payable and bonuses. Next to that players can set the number of lines they're playing on (between 1 and 40) and their total bet (between 0.01 and 100).
On the right-hand side of the action bar there's an autoplay button that allows players to set up to 99 automated spins, and of course the spin button. Above the reels there are four Age of the Gods Progressive Jackpot trackers.
This slot might well be all about flying high in the sky, but it falls flat on its face when it comes to win potential. Not only does this slot have a poor RTP of 91.04%, but it also has a shocking maximum win potential of just 1,000x the player's stake.
For us Age of the Gods Ruler of the Sky falls short in a couple of areas, firstly the bonus features... There just aren't that many to speak of! Of course, we enjoy stacked wilds, and it's an interesting mechanic, but it doesn't feel like enough. Secondly, we have the win potential, it's horribly low and for that reason, we have to mark this down as one of the lesser Age of the Gods slots available to play.
