9 Races to Glory Review
Before taking a spin on this slot, it is best to manage your expectations. It isn't a modern marvel of slot creation genius by any stretch of the imagination. It keeps things simple and as we said before, it is reminiscent of an old arcade game.
You’re either going to have a fab time or move on to something else quite quickly - there isn’t much ‘in-between’ ground here. But if you do like it, then the great news is that you can play it on mobile devices too!
Design
It feels like the bare minimum has been done to design this game. We don't mean to be rude to the designers but it is simply a blurred background with some horses racing past a grandstand. There aren't any tremendous animated moments to get excited about and the music is a little uninspiring.
One of the strangest things about this slot is when you enter the free spins round and a weird chatter begins to occur behind the music. After 5 minutes of complaining about an annoying man talking outside our window, we realised it was just part of the game!
We’re guessing this was attempting to replicate the race commentary but they haven’t pulled it off. It is a bit of a thumbs-down in the design department, unfortunately.
Gameplay
In terms of gameplay, there is nothing to it. Simply choose your bet amount and hit the spin button. The base game will potentially provide big prizes with the jockey symbol bonus and the free spins round may turn up if you are lucky.
The free spins game is an extension of the main game, as is generally the norm. And without any fun modifiers, the base game could feel a little relentless at times.
Win Potential
The max payout is 2,000x stake, and this is fairly standard for a medium-volatility game. Aurum Signature Studios' 9 Races to Glory doesn't pretend to be a big hitter and will probably appeal more to those looking to have a cheap flutter.
The RTP sits just over 96% so the house doesn't have a massive edge. On the payout front, this game has got it just about right.
Our Verdict
While we weren't overly impressed with the design of 9 Races to Glory, we were very happy with the payout potential and the simplicity that it presents.
You aren't going to get stressed out wondering what's happening at any time and regular, smallish wins will keep your bankroll intact if you are lucky. It's a bit of a mixed verdict, so the best thing to do is try it out for yourself and make up your own mind on this one.
