We’re heading out into the jungle today with 7 Monkeys from Pragmatic Play. It's a fairly straightforward premise with little mystery – there is something that may cause confusion. I don't know where the 7 monkeys are as I can only count 6! Perhaps you can spot the other one hidden in the vines?
One thing I know for certain is that this game isn't going to cause any sleepless nights! There's really nothing to it and beyond the free spins and wild symbols, you're basically staring at 7 monkeys all day long.
Wins are very limited and restricted to 7 paylines. Upon these lines will fall yellow, green, blue, orange and pink standard monkeys. Their payouts range from around 2x for a group of five pink monkeys and max out at around 22x for a five-of-a-kind with the yellow monkeys.
So that's five of the monkeys taking care of and then we move on to the wild baboon. These will step in and substitute for all of the above monkeys and have some enormous payout potential. Not only do they connect other wins that might not have been possible but they have a win within their own right and these values range from around 7.5x and max out at around 225x for a 5-of-a-kind win.
The only other symbol you'll see is the banana bonus symbol and these are required to start the free spins game. The wild symbols are considerably more valuable than anything else and luckily these appear quite frequently as well. The one thing that didn't appear frequently was the bonus symbols and you might find it a bit of a struggle triggering the free spins game. But when you get there, you could be in for a big surprise and it might take a while to use up all those spins!
I walked away from the 50 free spins that I received with well over 300x. The max win here is 4,500x and the RTP is very low at 92.71%.
Apart from the game's title and a few animal noises in the background, it would be hard to work out where you are from the imagery alone. The symbols are fairly rudimentary and not much else is given away by these brightly colored apes.
One of my favourite aspects is the subtle animation that occurs when two matching monkeys land on the first two reels. They make a little noise and they look to the right to see if a third will join them and increase the win - very cute!
