To hit a win on the 5x3 grid, you need to land matching symbols along 1 of the 20 paylines, starting from the leftmost reel. The coins and flags are the low pays, with a 5-of-a-kind being worth up to 1.2x. The 3 Gladiators are the high pays. Land a 5-of-a-kind and you can win between 10x and 12x. Wilds substitute for all these pay symbols.
If you land 2 scatters, you’ll trigger 1 of 3 Gladiator features. When, for example, the Swords feature is triggered, a Wild measuring 2x1 and another measuring 1x2 are added to the grid. The Mace feature adds a 2x2 Wild to the reels. Activate the Trident feature and you’ll see 4 Wilds placed on random positions.
3, 4 or 5 scatters awards 1x, 15x and 600x the stake respectively. This also triggers the free spins round. First, as a gladiator, you’ll have to make a choice. Will you play in Challenge Mode or in Deathmatch Mode?

I managed to trigger the bonus round on more than 1 occasion. I played it conservatively the first time, opting for Challenge Mode, but I still ended up with a really nice haul, thanks mainly to the Gladiator feature.
It wasn’t long before I triggered the round again. Feeling cocky, I went for Deathmatch Mode and again left with a decent haul. The third time, however, I didn’t manage to hit the 22.5x minimum win, and the 2x Consolation prize did little to console me. At 2,930x, the max win isn’t massive, but the game’s volatility is only medium, so you should see some regular wins. Having played the bonus games and witnessed the various modifiers, the max win seems like a realistic figure to aim for. 94% RTP is a little low, but it shouldn't have a huge effect on your returns.
