Xmas Drop Review
If Xmas Drop struggles to get you in the holiday spirit, then this could be because you are living at the top of a mountain waiting patiently to head down to Whoville and steal everybody's presents. It's a fun and potentially potent little game that could see your stocking filled in time for the big day.
The snow is unrelenting and everything in sight has a lovely wintery glaze. Santa looks jolly even though he's stood out in the cold and that belly seems to have grown since last year. When he lands on the reels as a Wild symbol, his mouth stretches open to gobble up any potential Wild Gifts and this is one of the highlights of the show for me. The music is suitably festive and should help to keep your ears just as happy as your eyes during your slot session.
The main modifying action comes courtesy of the Wilds and then potential Multipliers as well. It can occur at any time and only becomes more frequent during the bonus games. This makes everything feel seamless and enjoyable, so hats off to Hacksaw Gaming for keeping me entertained once again.
If you have managed to keep yourself off the naughty list, you could walk away with a max 12,500x win and it's good to know that the volatility is medium. This means that you should see some fairly regular winning action to keep your balance bolstered throughout. The bigger wins will come courtesy of the Multipliers and large stretches of Wild symbols. The RTP is fine at 96.22%.
I tried to resist getting into the spirit of Christmas too early, but there is just too much festive fun to be had with all of the Christmas-themed slots around at the moment. Thanks to Xmas Drop, I'm going into full-on Christmas mode now and this one is going to be my marker for what other developers should be aiming for.
