It's true, there does appear to be a lot going on in Witchy Poppins, but you'll be pleased to know that everything slots into place quite nicely and you won't lose any sleep over this one. The premise definitely isn't as scary as the witches parading around the screen and the end result of all of these wonderful features and modifiers is that your bankroll can begin to grow in a favourable direction.
Design
There isn't much of a background to speak of given that the reels take up the vast majority of the screen. And adorning those reels are several different witches with various pouts upon their faces that any modern Instagrammer would be proud of.
The Multiplier sits calmly in the top left corner and this can spring into play during the Free Spins Bonus. You can also watch out for a little animated addition from the pumpkin to the side of the reels. PopWins bring some explosive graphics with new symbols falling down to replace the old ones and you get a nice firey glow to remind us all that this slot is meant to scare the hell out of us. Finally, the sound effects are top-notch and this classical score builds in intensity throughout the bonus game.
Gameplay
Other than the PopWins, it does feel like most of the action has been reserved for the Bonus game. That's not always a bad thing but it can make things feel a little sluggish while you wait to get there. However, the main benefit of everything being reserved for the big finale is that it truly is a sight to behold and your balance will undoubtedly thank you for reaching this promised arena.

On a good day, Witchy Poppins may just reward you with a fabulous 20,000x payout. This comes at the cost of very high volatility but you can expect a reasonable 96% RTP.
My Verdict
Admittedly, Witchy Poppins will have a certain appeal at a very specific time of year but I don't think it should stop you picking it up whenever you fancy something a little different. While the base game might not be anything particularly special, the added modifiers during the Bonus Feature have the potential to cast a spell over your bankroll.
