Everything is calm and tranquil on this cute little desert island. The waves are lapping gently against the shore and a little boat sits happily in the cove. All of a sudden, a tornado symbol turns up on reel 5 and blows the whole serene setting into chaos.
As they land, they sweep across the screen and remove the first of the low-paying royal symbols. You'll see these marked off the board to the right of the screen. You then get a respin without the lowest-paying symbol in play.

These bovine additions are important as when you start the bonus game, you begin with a 1x multiplier. But for every cow that gets airlifted out of there, the multipliers increase by +1. This can continue up to a maximum of 7x.
This is where things get really weird. You'll notice that there are spaceship symbols landing occasionally during the base game. Pick up 3 of these and the game suffers from a slight schizophrenic episode.
You now find yourself in space flying a mission to find one of the 4 jackpots. There are 6 regular rounds in which you need to shoot 1 of the enemy craft. It will either reveal a cash amount or your own ship will suffer damage.

Lightning Box has chosen to go down the route of the bizarre and surreal. At times, this method can be a huge hit but occasionally, it just seems a little confusing and disjointed. We love the addition of tornados removing symbols and whisking cows off to increase multipliers.
But we cannot work out why the jackpot game needed to be so random. There are many fun elements that could be added to a desert island-themed bonus round. And in our opinion, zooming everything into orbit was a bit of a fail. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you might just love it.
Visually, there isn't an awful lot going on during the base game with a fairly lacklustre background and the reels set into a simplistic collection of bamboo. When the tornado hits, it does showcase the designers’ skills with some clever animation and a change of setting.
The background noise is quite therapeutic, and you could easily leave this game running in the background just to provide some welcome mood music.
As you spin the reels, you get the first couple of bars of 'The Sailor’s Hornpipe' and the next couple with the following spin. But then it simply resets back to the beginning again.
The game could have been infinitely more fun had the soundtrack continued for a longer time. The jackpot game is very well crafted, if not a little odd, but it could provide a huge payout.
The addition of the tornado symbol is the game's saving grace. It has the power to break up the base game and also provide some cow-lifting multipliers during the bonus game. You won't see the free spins round appearing all that often.
Stellar Cash Blown Away has a medium variance according to the developers, but it felt much higher given the lack of bonus action that we experienced. Regardless of how you feel about the addition of spaceships to this game, having a chance to play for 4 jackpots is always a fabulous opportunity.
