Mad Cabs Review
Admittedly, the Call a Noober feature seemed a little confusing when I first looked at the instructions but it turns out that there's nothing to it—it's just a pain trying to actually trigger the thing in the first place.
Needing all of these extra sets of Mad Cabs to bring on what is essentially a modifier that many other slots fling out for free, does seem a little unappealing. That said, the Free Spins Bonus could be a bit of a saving grace given that you can see bigger wins thanks to the integration of the Call a Noober feature at this point.
Design
There is a fun rock and roll soundtrack keeping you happy as you make your way through downtown ‘somewhere’ in search of a taxi. Why you might be looking for a Tuk-Tuk is beyond me, but each to their own! Nothing really happens on these fairly tranquil streets and there aren’t any other cars about, which does make you wonder how long you might have to wait for a cab to turn up. Perhaps calling a Noober will be your best bet.
Gameplay
I like the idea of the Call a Noober feature but I don't like the execution one bit. It's far too convoluted, which makes it unlikely to show up very frequently. You will be hoping to make your way out of the base game and into the Free Spins Bonus as soon as possible so you can see some better wins and a little more excitement. If there is a Bonus Buy option, then it won't be available in the UK, unfortunately.
Win Potential
Mad Cabs stats aren't exactly setting the world alight, much like the gameplay. There is a 95.25% RTP with high volatility and a max win of just 7,500x. You need to decide if this is enough to lure you into this wild ride
Our Verdict
Quite why Iron Dogs Studios decided to call this Mad Cabs is an odd one. It's not exactly a crazy adventure and very little has been done to boost the appeal of this slot. It is bog-standard at best. To finish on a positive note, it is a slot after all and despite what I or anyone else thinks of it, there's always a chance that it could pay out some incredible sums of cash if you hit the spin button at the right time.
Paul spent plenty of time in arcades up and down the UK discovering all of the best fruit machines and watching them grow into the incredible online slots we see today. He still loves the basic format but also has a soft spot for games with big bonus rounds that progress as you play. Immortal Romance is one of his favourite slots of all time.
