Gorilla Madness Review
Light & Wonder's Gorilla Madness is a fun but basic slot concept. The game mechanics are similar to many other standard titles. And you shouldn't expect to see too much going on while hitting that spin button.
While there are some huge wins to be found, the medium volatility will produce mainly mid-range wins that keep your balance afloat for the duration.
Design
As we said at the start, Gorilla Madness is a strange mix of primate and dinosaur characters roaming around a jungle setting. The soundtrack is equally as random with an almost Tiki feel mixed into a drum and bass beat. It is odd but somehow it works!
There are a few animated touches that add to the pleasing graphic display. And one of the best is the volcano in the background that bubbles away waiting for its chance to erupt and bring great fortune to the lucky adventurer.
The whole feel is bright and colourful and there's a clever hue of light that passes across the front of the screen. This represents the flowing lava making its way down from the volcano.
Gameplay
There is nothing you can do to better your chances of seeing one of the features trigger. Regardless of your bet size, everybody has as much possibility of entering the jackpot game or free spins round as the next player. So stick within your financial limits as going hell for leather won't improve your chances.
You can alter the total bet anywhere from 0.18 to 88. Naturally, the bigger the bet, the bigger the potential prizes. For players outside the UK, there is an auto spin function. And the other standard options are to toggle the music on and off as well as play in turbo mode. The game is also available for mobile users on iOS and Android too.
Win Potential
The maximum payout on this game has been set at 2,761x stake. And the 4 jackpot prizes are all relevant to the initial bet. If you play for the minimum stake, then the mini jackpot is 5 and the grand jackpot is 400. Maximum wagers will see the mini jackpot at 2000 and the grand jackpot at 200,000.
There are three different RTP options so this will change depending on where you play. The lowest end is 90% while the top is 96%. It may be worth checking this out before you start.
The official game data shows that this slot has medium volatility. However, after playing it for quite some time we think it is probably a little higher than this.
Our Verdict
There are some fun elements to enjoy while playing Gorilla Madness. It is very easy on the eye and the symbol graphics are well crafted. The standard free spins round is where some larger prizes can be found.
And the addition of the jackpot feature certainly makes for an interesting proposition. You will need a fairly decent bankroll to carry you through as base game wins are not that regular and you never know how long it might take to trigger the features.
