Fishin' Frenzy All Stars Review
Since the release of NetEnt's Superstars, many other slot developers have been trying to recapture the magic. After all, who doesn't love an online slot that combines all your favourite characters together?
Blueprint Gaming decided the only logical slot that could do this was the iconic Fishin' Frenzy series and this is how Fishin' Frenzy All Stars was born. This is definitely not your typical Fishin' Frenzy slot and is easily the best one so far.
The base game is just like any other Fishin' Frenzy slot with 5-reels and 10 paylines but this all changes with the bonus rounds. Here, you decide what bonus round you want with inspirations from Eye of Horus and El Torero. If this doesn't sound exciting enough, then how about a massive win of up to 50,000x the stake?
Design
If you are hoping for a graphical overhaul of Fishin' Frenzy, then you'll be a little disappointed. The base game looks like any other slot with a static underwater background paired with lifeless-looking fish.
However, it is worth mentioning that most of the symbols on the reels look to be enhanced slightly with clearer images and almost look new. After all, it wouldn't be a fishing slot without a huge amount of fish and underwater life.
The audio is also quite disappointing with no ambient music in between spins and only the typical slot sounds throughout. Despite this, it's safe to say that you are not here for the design but for the tremendous gameplay.
Gameplay
Do not come into this slot expecting the whole game to be completely changed as the base game remains the same. However, the bonus rounds are certainly improved and this feels like the best Fishin' Frenzy yet!
Each bonus round offers a unique style of free spins taking inspiration from slots such as Eye of Horus and El Torero. You'll find expanding wilds, sticky wilds and a collect feature with the bonus rounds - the final choice is up to you!
Win Potential
Unfortunately, Fishin' Frenzy and most other Blueprint Gaming slots do have a reputation for an RTP under 96%. At Slot Gods, we tend to say that anything 96% or above is accepted. Anything below needs a good reason such as a brand attached or a progressive jackpot.
This slot contains an RTP of 94.22% which is quite low. Thankfully, the maximum win makes up for it in this high volatility slot as you can win up to 50,000x the stake. There is no confirmation of where this can be achieved but we can assume it'll be during the El Torero bonus round as the wild becomes sticky throughout leading to endless possibilities.
Our Verdict
Fishin' Frenzy All Stars has the makings for a classic slot. Blueprint Gaming has finally improved upon the gameplay and delivered more than anyone could've expected. It's absolutely genius to add in different bonus rounds and it does feel distinctly different from Superstars.
Whilst we weren't fully impressed with the RTP being under the average, we can let it slip just a little due to the colossal maximum win and the amazing features. This is clearly the best Fishin' Frenzy slot so far and makes us optimistic for the future of the series. Be sure to reel in massive wins with Fishin' Frenzy All Stars.
