Candyways Bonanza 2 Megaways Review
After the success of the original Candyways Bonanza Megaways, Stakelogic decided to create a full slot series out of this game with the next instalment Candyways Bonanza 2 Megaways.
Unlike the original, this sequel plays on 6-reels with 117,649 ways to win just like any other Megaways slot. In addition to the enhanced Megaways, the food slot contains three different free spins rounds as well as multipliers, Super Stake and a gamble feature leading to wins of up to 30,000x the stake.
Design
Fans of the original will be familiar with the background as it’s almost identical. Whilst, the original design isn’t anything too bad, it is disappointing that there were no drastic changes or clear differences. The slot is still set in a candy land with wonderful visuals and animations but nothing out of the ordinary for this slot.
The reels are even set on a gingerbread house with gummy treats as the symbols. In terms of the music, it’s almost similar to the original with the joyful ambient music playing throughout spins to create a relaxed atmosphere for players.
Gameplay
In the original Candyways Bonanza Megaways, the Megaways mechanic was non-traditional but that has been changed in the sequel making it somewhat quite general. Despite this, the gameplay is quite entertaining with the multipliers and free spins leading to some memorable moments.
Most of the buttons are all around the reels with the spin button and Super Stake on the right side of the reels and the bet level underneath. All other menus can be found on the left side of the screen.
Win Potential
The overall win potential is quite mismatched starting off disappointingly with an RTP of 95.80% which is just under the average standard of 96%. However, this is not a complete deal-breaker as the win potential for this high volatility slot is decent with the maximum win.
In Candyways Bonanza 2 Megaways, players can win up to 30,000x the stake through the free spins round with the multipliers or through the gamble feature. This will definitely appeal to players looking for big wins and allows them to overlook the lower-than-average RTP.
Our Verdict
The sequel is supposed to be the better slot, but this one is not completely superior. Candyways Bonanza 2 Megaways has enhanced features with more free spins and multipliers - but the overall design and win potential are slightly less than the original.
Of course, there is a bigger maximum win which is compensated by a lower RTP - but the design is quite generic and nothing overly refreshing which is disappointing from Stakelogic. Despite all of this, the overall experience of Candyways Bonanza 2 Megaways is fantastic but only just manages to beat the experience of the original.
