Relax Gaming has shown us several times that it's more than capable of producing a fun Wild West-themed slot with big win potential. This time, the team has chosen a scatter pays mechanic but continues with the plan of active modifiers that make the base game and bonus round feel fresh and exciting.

Gameplay & Features

Grid slots open the door to some exciting features and that's exactly what happens here with Bounty County. This 6x6 game area isn't completely filled with symbols; instead, you'll have to blast your way to clear the board and get something special. 

As a general rule, you’re going to need at least four matching symbols to land anywhere and they don't need to be touching. A group of nine or more is also possible and this will bring you much bigger wins. 

Groups of royal symbols can pay up to 10x and the medium paying pictures will get you up to 20x. The three highest payers are worth up to 50x. But the payouts don't stop there as there are plenty of modifiers and special symbols to keep you on your toes. 

As wins are recorded, the winning symbols disappear and new ones join the game and you'll also see that the crates next to any disappearing symbols on the edge of the game area will open up. 

A blank crate will reveal a wild substitute for other regular payers and if you open up a gun crate, you'll reveal a gun that offers up to six hits, which could help take out a bandit or blast open a TNT crate. TNT comes in two forms, either light or heavy, and the light ones will deal one hit to these special symbols and the heavy ones deal three hits. 

The reason why hits are important is because cash bandits require a certain number of hits to release their bounty. The cash bandit will take three hits to offer up to 0.3x your bet and the multiplier bandit takes three hits to produce a 1x multiplier, which is added to the overall multiplier. 

You can also start to collect free spins bandits during the base game and if you hit one three times, you'll be awarded an additional free spin if the bonus is triggered. If you do this during the bonus game, you pick up an extra free spin. 

Bonus Game 

During your free spins, you'll see the boss bandit and these offer much bigger rewards than the ones you were collecting during the base game. Each one takes six hits to destroy but they have very different payout potential. A small boss can pay up to 15x, a medium boss pays up to 75x but a big boss can get you up to 500x. 

You trigger the game by destroying all the bandits during the base game and the first thing you need to do is pick between easy, medium or hard. Each mode has different benefits and as you might imagine, you should be able to pick up bigger wins during the hard mode but it'll be more difficult to actually land them. 

During the easy mode, you get free spin bandits but you won't see any multiplier bandits. The medium mode gives you multipliers and free spins bandits and the hard mode gives you multiplier bandits but no free spins bandits. 

There's a multiplier counter which applies multipliers to each win, depending on the version you're playing, and the free spins counter will show you how many free spins you've got. 

There's a double bet option and when this is activated, you'll be charged twice the usual bet amount but you're more than twice as likely to trigger a bonus game. 

Outside the UK, players can buy directly into the regular free spins bonus for 50x or they can pay 100x to take on the super version. As far as I can work out, the benefit of playing the super bonus is that it can provide bigger wins with more frequent multipliers and free spins bandits appearing during the round.
