If you thought the original Big Bite slot was a little restrictive with its 5 reels and 10 paylines, then you might like what the sequel has in store. Payline restrictions have been conquered thanks to win ways on adjacent reels and you've also got some special symbol overlays that can bring over 200,000 ways to hit a reward.
The payline mechanic has improved incredibly and you don't need to worry about fixed paylines anymore, as we know. Instead, this 6x4 grid can grow to lofty heights thanks to symbols splitting and producing more win ways.
Wins start on the leftmost reel and matching symbols must continue to fall on adjacent reels. The lowest results come from the card symbols with a maximum 0.40x for a group of six. The picture symbols make it a little easier to pick up a profit but you’re still going to need to see quite a lot of the main payers to push you over your bet amount.
The top-paying prize will get you 2x for a group of 6. Wild symbols substitute for all of those mentioned before.
Hot zones increase the number of paylines, or win ways if you will, and this happens by putting a coloured outlay around the reel. They come as a stack of 4 symbols high and now any symbols that are within the Hot Zone will be doubled. Instead of eight symbols high, you could have 16.
Winning symbols disappear and new ones come onto the game area and when they land on a Hot Zone, they also appear as 2 symbols.

Despite the increased number of ways to win a prize in this sequel, the max win has taken a staggering dip to around half of where it was before. However, it might make it even more accessible and I think lots of players will be feeling confident that this could drop at any moment. The hot zones increase the win potential and those multipliers can be pretty tasty even in the base game. I saw payouts of over 10x falling thanks to these. The low volatility should also provide smaller wins quite frequently.
There's not much to tell the two games apart in this mini-series – you obviously have a slightly larger game area to contend with now. The addition of the Hot Zones brings a little more colour to the reels and some animation as they nudge their way through to the bottom of the grid. It looks good on smaller mobile devices as well and the fun but slightly intense soundtrack should also help keep you engaged.
Big Bite Push Ways is a slightly more interesting prospect than its predecessor thanks to the addition of Hot Zones and thus more win ways. The slight drop in max win isn't a huge issue in my opinion as I think you'll pick up more wins quite frequently. If the bonus game gets going, the multiplier could take your balance to some pretty special heights.
