When I discovered that this game was bear-themed, I didn't hold very high expectations. However, although the bears are rather cute and cartoony, the theme of them cracking open safes and bank vaults while evading the police gives them a little bit more of an edge than, say, the Gummy Bears.
There’s a policeman constantly on the lookout for these sneaky little grizzlies, and the soundtrack comes with a stereotypical New York gangster commentating over the reels, which is daft but ultimately quite charming.
I had a good time playing Bears Make Bank. The theme is quirky and the game features are varied and eclectic. It’s a shame that the Vault Buster Bonus isn’t its own game, but the Link & Win feature more than makes up for this small oversight.
The gameplay is fast and dynamic, even if the base game only has 5 rows and 3 reels, and the opportunity for expanding reels during the Link & Win kicks things up a notch.
Overall, this is a fun game that offers some great entertainment and the potential for some solid wins.
