Ali Baba's Luck Review
Ali Baba is one of the most famous Arabian Nights tales that was added to the One Thousand and One Nights folk tale in the 18th century. The original Ali Baba saw him as a poor woodcutter who discovers a thieves' den and opens the treasure with the infamous phrase "Open Sesame". He discovers unimaginable treasures and is renowned for his luck.
Therefore, it's no surprise as to why Red Tiger Gaming decided to release a slot based on his tale. It plays on 5-reels with 10 paylines and gives players the potential to win up to 5,000x their stake. Is Ali Baba's Luck on your side?
Design
The background looks straight out a fairytale with the bright colours and the designs on the furniture. You are clearly in a palace surrounded by the beautiful decor. Sadly, it's not animated so it does feel a little lifeless - but it's not a deal breaker.
All of the symbols on the reels look semi-realistic but with a glossy tint on them. It makes the characters seem more relatable whilst reminding you that they are fictional.
The music is exactly what you'd expect in an Arabian slot as there are drums, flutes and lutes to create something epic. Even the sounds of the reels and wins are adapted to sound more Arabian and magical.
Gameplay
There is nothing complicated about the gameplay and anyone can literally pick it up and play. The payline and help system can be found at the bottom, whilst other settings are to the top of the reels. Players can find the spin button at the bottom right of the reels with the autospin button just to the left of it. You can set up to 100 autospins and bet up to 10.00.
Win Potential
Sadly, the RTP is at a measly 95.89% - which is decent for a slot but almost on the threshold of being disappointing. Ali Baba's Luck has a high volatility level which means that wins will be high but less frequent. Unfortunately, the maximum payout is 5,000x your stake - which is quite low for a high volatility slot.
Our Verdict
Ali Baba's Luck doesn't instantly 'wow' us, but it has some engaging qualities. The design and gameplay are decent enough, but nothing spectacular. This completely describes the slot as it's nothing special.
Now if the payout was a bit higher, then perhaps this slot would be recommended a lot more. If you love Arabian slots, then check out Ali Baba's Luck. However, if you want a better payout, try Genie Jackpots or 10,000 Wishes instead.
