Age of the Gods Medusa & Monsters
Age of the Gods Medusa & Monsters is 6-reel, 164 payline mythical-themed slot developed by Playtech that's all about the feared Gorgon Medusa, known for her wild hair made of live snakes.
If you're lucky enough the feared lady herself will appear on the reels as an expanding wild symbol, leading some very healthy winning combinations! If this wasn't enough this slot also comes with the Medusa's Gaze Free Games bonus and the opportunity to trigger one of four lucrative progressive jackpots.
The reels of this slot look quite dated if we're being completely honest, which doesn't come as a surprise as it is a few years old. Behind the reels there's a beach with the waves crashing against the rocks as the sun sets, we're not entirely sure what this has to do with Medusa, but it looks pretty nice!
Low paying symbols include a blue gemstone, a green gemstone, a red gemstone, a diamond, a winged helmet, a dagger and a longboat. High paying symbols include a Cerberus, a Minotaur warrior, a siren and of course Medusa herself.
This slot is your stereotypical classic Age of the Gods title. There's an action-bar along the bottom of the reels that features all of the important buttons you could possibly need.
From left-to-right, there's an info button (that displays the paytable and bonus information), a - and + that allows players to set their stakes between 0.50 and 100, an autoplay button (that allows players to set up to 99 automated spins) and a basic spin button.
At the top of the reels, there are four progressive jackpot trackers that display the current value of all four Age of the Gods Progressive Jackpots, these are the Power Jackpot, Extra Power Jackpot, Super Power Jackpot, Ultimate Power Jackpot.
Age of the Gods Medusa & Monsters has the worst win potential of any Age of the Gods game... Despite having a decent RTP of 96.09% the maximum win players can register in this slot is 150x their initial stake which is laughably low, it's potentially one of the lowest paying slots we've ever come across!
The Age of the Gods Progressive Jackpot does go some way towards making up for this, but truth be told, it's not at all enough to forgive Playtech for this shocking maximum win.
This slot had the potential to be fantastic, some of the bonus features and mechanics were a lot of fun. But seriously, who can take a game that has a maximum win potential of 150x seriously? There are games much much older that offer players thousands more than that. Medusa & Monsters feels like a missed opportunity.
