Pragmatic Play supports ultramarathon runner for charity event
The iGaming giant is feeling charitable again!
Pragmatic Play is supporting Maltese athlete Steve Sammut Nurminem (MovewithSteve) who is completing a 365km ultramarathon across Sicily in aid of the charity Dr Klown.
Steve aims to raise €10,000 for the non-governmental organisation (NGO) which provides a service to hospitalised children in Malta and Gozo. Dr Klown also supplies clown doctors that are psychologically trained to entertain children in hospitals where volunteers provide laughter to those in need.
"We're humbled we can support Steve," says Pragmatic Play
Julian Jarvis, CEO at Pragmatic Play, said: “Steve is well known in the Maltese community for his herculean feats of endurance running and we’re very proud to be able to support him in his latest astounding effort– running a 365km ultramarathon!
He added: “The work that Dr Klown does in Malta is extremely important, and we’re humbled we can support Steve in his quest to raise as much money for them as possible.”
"Very pleased to be working with them," says Nurminen
“This coming July (22-24) Pragmatic Play have generously agreed to support me, Stephen Sammut Nurminen on my quest of running 365km across Sicily, in order to solicit contributions, however small or large towards this worthy cause,” said Stephen Sammut Nurminen.
"Our aim is to collect a minimum of €10,000 - this will go towards providing training for the Dr Klown team and bettering the facilities in the hospital.”
“The contributions will also go towards organizing interactive events where the children will be encouraged to participate in and also buying gifts for the young patients.”
“It is a hugely exciting challenge and one that will push me to the limit as I embark on my most ambitious run to date, looking to raise significant funds for Dr Klown to assist the incredible work they do.”
He concluded: “Pragmatic Play’s CSR programme contributes to charities and causes all over Malta and beyond, and I’m very pleased to be working with them to raise money for a fantastic charity.”
Anyone wanting to support Stephen Sammut Nurminen must do it before Sunday 31st of July 2022 and can do so here.
