Pragmatic Play donates to Alameda Wildlife Conservation Park
The iGaming giant is feeling charitable
Pragmatic Play, known for revolutionary online slots such as Spaceman and Cash Patrol, is back in the news again for the company's philanthropy which comes just months after they support an ultramarathon runner for a charity event.
This time Pragmatic Play has made a £6,850 donation to Gibraltar's only wildlife sanctuary named the Alameda Wildlife Conservation Park (AWCP) home to several native and exotic animal species.
What will the donation go towards?
The AWCP is situated in Gibraltar's stunning Alameda Botanic Gardens and cares for unwanted exotic pets and animals confiscated by customers such as the cotton-topped tamarin. They raise awareness of the importance of endangered species through conservation education.
Pragmatic Play's donation will help the park to support its new North American turtle exhibit and fund the refurbishment of its turtle ponds that require constant running water and filed in order to ensure the health and cleanliness of the animals housed.
The wildlife park hosts tropical species but also has three species of North American turtle with the common snapping turtle, map turtle and yellow-bellied sliders which can live for over 70 years.
AWCP hopes to play an important part in the international effort to conserve rare and at risk-groups. This is done through selected captive breeding programmes to ensure the survival of threatened species.
Looking forward to establishing new ways to support AWCP
Julian Jarvis, CEO at Pragmatic Play, said: “As the only wildlife park in Gibraltar, the AWCP fulfils a crucial part in the protection of rare animal species, and we’re extremely proud to be able to support the restructuring of its outdoor spaces and turtle ponds.”
“Up to four species of turtle will be housed in a specious pond in a prominent area of the park thanks to our donation, and we look forward to establishing new ways to support the conservation group moving forward.”
