Down here in this Tomb of Gold, you'll find a 6x4 reel set offering up to 4,096 win ways. 3+ matching symbols need to land on adjacent reels and it all begins on the first reel on the left. I felt like a bit of an imposter down there in the Tomb of Gold, but I kind of liked it! You don't often get to go down into the sacred part of the underworld and see what riches are on display, so grab the opportunity while it’s there. Fortunately, there are no booby traps to scupper our adventure and big wins are buried down there in abundance.
This isn't Play’n GO’s first rodeo and they've been down this Egyptian path many times. The graphics are fairly standard for this developer and by that, I mean well-crafted and carefully thought out. A little fire is spread about to add to the occasion and a sprinkling of dust falls from the ceiling, reminding us that we are in a slightly precarious position. The symbols and reels are high quality, as you would expect, and the music is a fairly standard Egyptian beat. It looks great on desktop and mobile devices and I couldn't find any major fault with the overall design.
While it isn't a particularly challenging base game, this does mean that you'll be able to follow what's happening quite easily. The additional Coin symbols are a nice feature to have along for the ride and filling up those 6 spaces at the top of the screen means that you could be in for a big win. The free spins are always lurking and this extra bonus is great to have as a backup. I'm not sure if a Bonus Buy option will be available outside the UK as the demo that I sourced did not reveal such treasures.
A 7,000x max win may not be the otherworldly payout that you were looking for as you dig your way down into this Tomb of Gold. However, it's still a very respectable sum of cash and the medium/high volatility will hopefully remain your friend throughout. The RTP is 96.29% at best.
It didn't throw up any curveballs but Tomb of Gold did please me in several ways. I like it when 2 bonus games come together to create a little variety and the volatility here wasn't too extreme. It's a well-designed game and I was entertained throughout. Give it a go and see what you think.
