The male Irish character in this game is Pip, who is a 1x2 wild symbol. When Pip lands in the base game, he can leave a Golden Clover wild on the reels. This is called ‘Here Comes Pip’ and is completely random, except for when you first launch the game, in which case Here Comes Pip is guaranteed.
When a Golden Clover wild symbol lands on a reel at the beginning of a spin, another Golden Clover wild gets added to the same reel until it’s filled with these symbols.
You’ll notice that there’s a progress bar above the reels, and you’ll need 30 coins to complete it. Every time Pip appears on the reels, he throws a coin in the pot which adds to the progress bar.
3 coins are also added to the progress bar at the end of the free spins round. When you reach 30 coins, the Pippa symbol is unlocked and added to the reels.
Pippa is also a 1x2 wild, and when she appears she awards a 1x multiplier to all the Golden Clover wild symbols that are present. If a Golden Clover already has a multiplier, it grows to 2x. This feature is called ‘Here Comes Pippa’.

It didn't take me long to find enough scatters to get into the free spins round where I did indeed pick up some decent wins.

The colour scheme is a typical green, gold and red affair with lots of stereotypical Irish imagery such as whiskey barrels and lucky horseshoes littered about the place. However, the game board is set up on a sort of Hobbiton-looking backdrop, and Pip and Pippa make frequent appearances, not only on the reels but also popping out from behind the scenes occasionally as well.
The music is exactly what you'd expect from this type of game, with lots of fiddles and flutes making for a jolly theme tune that I had to turn off after a few minutes.
