Jelly Reels Review
Jelly Reels is an 8-reel slot developed by Wazdan that sees players register wins when matching combinations of 3, 5, 6, 7 or 8 identical symbols land from left to right. This tasty slot offers deliciously sweet wins worth up to 2,500x the player's stake thanks to having a whopping 16,777,216 ways to win.
In terms of bonus features and mechanics, there are mega symbols, cascading wins, wilds and of course jackpots courtesy of the Hold the Jackpot feature, which sees lucrative multiplier bonus symbols stick to the reels on a unique split game screen.
This cute food-themed slot is pretty charming! Behind the game grid is a wobbly landscape in which everything is created from... Yes, you guessed it, jelly! The grid itself is filled with jelly symbols, these are as follows: cherries, grapes, a watermelon, a raspberry, a lemon, a star, a gummy bear and the number 7.
In terms of this game's soundtrack, a chirpy tune plays on repeat... It's not at all terrible, but it'll probably get on your nerves after a short while.
We'll be honest, this slot seriously confused us at first, we were fully expecting a cluster pays slot (based on the fact it's played on an 8x8 game grid), so when we span the reels and we didn't pick up a win for a large matching cluster of symbols we were rightly thrown off.
It turns out that this is in fact a standard online slot, it's just laid out in a grid formation rather than traditional reels!
This sweet slot, like all Wazdan games, has adjustable volatility... So you can play your way! There are three options in total, low volatility, medium volatility and high volatility. Regardless of volatility, the RTP will remain at 96.22%, which isn't at all terrible. The maximum amount players can win when playing this slot is 2,500x their stake.
Jelly Reels is as good as they come when it comes to high-octane gameplay and exciting bonus features and mechanics. We've played multiple slots featuring the Hold the Jackpot feature, but this is arguably one of the best thanks to its innovative split-screen gameplay. It's just a shame the max win is quite low at 2,500x the player's stake.
