There's no word as to what exactly we're trying to snatch and rob from this museum but there seems to be plenty of options. It could be diamonds, it could be Fabergé eggs – hell you might even walk off with a T-Rex skeleton. Personally, I'm aiming for the 10,000x cash prize stuffed inside someone's crown.
This heist plays out on a 5x3 grid with 30 paylines. Across these lines, you can land wins worth up to 30x and high-paying symbols might also turn wild at some point. Low-paying symbols deliver up to 2.5x for a 5-of-a-kind set of aces.
Bonus symbols help trigger the bonus game and can also offer you a 3x win. Wins start on the leftmost reel and pay from left to right. Wild symbols don't appear on the first reel but they will substitute for other regular payers. Bonus symbols won't appear on the 1st or last reel.
Hopefully, you'll pick up plenty of regular base game wins but if you don't, there's a chance that a mystery feature might erupt and trigger something a little special. The lowest-paying symbols are removed from the reels and then new ones come down to fill the empty spaces. Diamonds are added to the accumulator during each spin and when you have three built-up next to a character, that character becomes wild. Eventually, you could have all four of the high-paying symbols offering big payouts and wild powers.
This feature triggers randomly after a losing spin and it will remove any of the lowest-paying symbols that are in view. New symbols come down onto the reels and you could pick up a win. If not, the next lowest-paying symbol will disappear and the process continues.

The potential to hit big wins feels a little way off during the base game with wild symbols seemingly allergic to the first reel and that mystery feature not arriving very often. In fact, I didn't see it at all. You can assume that the big payouts will only happen during the bonus game – that's not a huge problem as I managed to trigger it twice in a fairly short space of time. Over 90x was my final win but some players could end up with a 10,000x max reward. The volatility is medium and the RTP is 96.01%.
Consider a cheesy representation of any heist movie that you've ever seen and you won't be far off the mark. This seems to be set in a museum with various artefacts on display. Our main characters make an appearance now and then and you get a few animated add-ons. The music is ever so slightly offbeat and I found it extremely annoying!
Mobile phones don't deliver all of the details perfectly as there’s quite a lot going on in the background. However, it's still 100% playable.
The base game might benefit from that guaranteed win every so often but you really need to get into the bonus round before you see any action or big wins. If you pick a few decent modifiers and can extend your stay in the bonus area a little longer, then you could see some special wins ripped from the grasp of Ice Heist 2.
