Gluttony Features
The following feature explanations should probably come with a health warning! There is every chance that this is going to break your brain.
Before we look at the features, there are a couple of important things to consider and they are the reel area and scatter symbols.
Gluttony is a 5x5 slot and usually wins take place from left to right with symbols landing on adjacent reels rather than on a winning payline. Another part of the game uses Crosslink wins, which turns the regular pay system on its head, so look forward to reading about this shortly.
As you land a winning combo, winning symbols are removed and others will fall down into place. Wild Chickens can also come into view to substitute for other symbols apart from the game's special symbols, of which there are many.
Regular symbols begin with a lean version and a reasonably basic payout amount for each one. Pizzas are the highest paying and salads get the smallest returns, unsurprisingly! The symbols have three different versions meaning that they can upgrade and when this happens, you'll see the portion size grow and the individual payouts double in size.
Scatter Symbols
3 dinner bells are the signal that one of the game's features has arrived. There are gold bells and silver bells and depending on the combination, you can expect a different outcome.
- 3 silver bells trigger the Order Up! free spins
- 1 gold and 2 silver bells get you Double Up! free spins
- 2 gold and 1 silver bell scatter award Quadruple Up! free spins
- 3 gold bells start the FEDCON 1 feature
Landing further gold bells during a bonus game will increase your spins total and add multipliers.
Now let’s take a look at what each of the above features actually means!
Free Spins
Technically, there are 4 free spins games with Order Up!, Double Up!, Quadruple Up! and FEDCON 1 all being distinct features. We’ll tackle FEDCON 1 separately in a moment.
- Order Up! is a standard 8 free spins with regular symbol values in play
- Double Up! is where the symbol portions grow to produce x2 wins and you’ll get 10 spins
- Quadruple Up! brings the x4 symbol values into play for 12 free spins
FEDCON 1
This is where the Crosslink wins come in. Fat Bastard is the game’s main character and he now sits in the middle of the grid with all wins beginning from his place. The winning string—if you like—moves from the middle and counts all symbols that continue horizontally, vertically and diagonally.
You can progress through 5 different levels as a winning string accrues 20, 30, 40 and 50 winning symbols respectively. Medium-paying and wild symbols will count for double the number of symbols that are added to the size of the combo.
xZone
The ketchup sachets drop onto the reels to increase the multiplier value of regular paying symbols by +1. The regular symbols must be in the zone just 1 position away from the sauce either horizontally, vertically or diagonally to benefit.
Wild Pot
During any of the free spins games, there is a second wild symbol in play; the Wild Pot. If this symbol forms part of a winning combo, it will draw in the multiplier values from any regular food symbols that it touches. This symbol will stay put as winning cascades continue during the sequence.
Heart Attack
Not so much a feature but more of an indication that you’ve hit the max 32,000x win, which occurs once every 52,000,000 spins. At this point, poor old Fat Bastard takes a turn for the worse and his ticker gives up on him. Well, what did he expect!?
