The 5x5 set of reels is quite deceptive but it isn't playing any kind of grid slot mechanic. You have 19 paylines and a set of fairly standard winning symbols to contend with. The colourful jelly shapes represent the low players with a five-of-a-kind stretching to 2x for the blue triangles. The orange jellies are far better with a 10x value and if you can hit a full set of the red teddy bears, you'll see a 25x payout.
The game is heavily dependent on the chocolate rockets, as you can probably imagine! These symbols will substitute for other regular payers and also carry multipliers worth up to 20x. If the rocket decides to head up the reel, it will not only expand its wild power but also multiply its own multiplier by the number of positions it moves. A 2x rocket that expands by one place will become an x4 multiplier, for example.
If more than one multiplier takes place in a winning combo at the same time, their multiplier values are added together to create havoc with your bankroll!
Don't get too excited as you head into the advertised ‘unique’ bonus games as they are both pretty much identical and follow the base game exactly.
With three bonus symbols, you have the standard bonus game but now there is a chance of hitting those wild rocket symbols more frequently. You won't see any bonus scatter symbols landing throughout the feature so there are no extra spins to be won.
The extra special bonus that is obviously completely unique compared to the first bonus game comes by way of four bonus symbols and now you have 10 free spins and an increased chance of landing the wild rocket symbols. This sounds very similar to something I've seen before!
The only difference here is that once a wild rocket lands, it will appear on every spin until the end of the feature. Rockets landing below an existing one will replace the one above. Once again, there are no bonus symbols so no extra spins.
You can pay 2x your bet if you'd like each spin to be three times more likely to trigger a bonus game and 40x if you'd like a guaranteed minimum of two wild rocket symbols per spin. Outside the UK, you can go directly to the basic free spins bonus for 100x and the super game will cost 200x.
When these symbols land, they carry a multiplier worth up to 20x. They substitute for other regular payers and as the rocket heads up towards the sky, it begins to increase its multiplier value. Two multiplier rockets can create double the trouble.
3 or 4 bonus symbols trigger the standard or super free spins bonuses, respectively. With the regular version, you have a heightened chance of landing wild rockets and you get the same in the super bonus – except now the rockets remain sticky until the feature ends.
For me, the win potential was a little confusing as the base game seems to fire up much larger wins than the bonus rounds. I tried both bonus games several times but failed to get anything as high as the 50x payout that those wild rockets got me in the main part of the game.
Everyone’s spins will be different, so you may find your bonus games trigger a payout much closer to the 12,500x max win than mine did. It's quite obviously a high-volatility game and that will determine how often you see those decent rewards.
It's all very pink, fluffy and idyllic up there where the Chocolate Rocket resides. A big colourful rainbow makes its way across the background and pink clouds adorn the chocolatey peaks. It's very similar to other sweet food-based creations and should have you licking your lips when you load it up on your laptop or mobile. The music is a little nondescript it feels quite trancey as you spin the reels.
The expanding wild multipliers are the star of the show and even though there are two bonus games, they still rely completely on this modifier. Therefore, it's hard to get excited about any particular part of this creation as it's a feature we've all seen before.
Nevertheless, it's a pleasant-looking game that does have potential if your spins are able to unwrap it at the right time.
