Cash Printer Heist Review
It’s highly unusual for a five-reel slot to have just three paylines, and particularly one that comes with such an action-packed theme.
So have Games Global come up with something new and exciting, or is this a game that’s destined to be a one-spin wonder? Naturally, we took it upon ourselves to find out!
Design
It feels a touch retro to only have three paylines, but as soon as you load up the reels of Cash Printer Heist, you know that this is a thoroughly modern game. The mobile-first ethos shines through, with game symbols and controls that are as perfect for handheld devices as bigger screens.
Quirky imagery and fun animations are joined by a 70s jazz funk soundtrack to create a game that’s great to look at and listen to as well as being fun to play.
Gameplay
There are three horizontal paylines running from left to right across Cash Printer Heist reels. And with every non-winning spin a multiplier at the top right of your screen increases by +1, up to a maximum of 20x, which is awarded to your next win before resetting back to 1x.
A Wild will help you to create winning combos, but it’s Lola and Martin that you want to watch out for – she appears on reel 2, while he is restricted to reel 4. And when either of them lands in conjunction with the Safe icon on reel 3, the game moves up a gear. Now one of three things will happen, depending on which feature above the reels lights up:
- The multiplier will reset.
- You’ll receive a Multiplier Respin, in which the multiplier increases by up to 10x before reverting back to its starting point for your next paid spin.
- The Cash Printer Bonus is triggered.
The Cash Printer Bonus starts with a set of metrics showing you the value of the bills, the speed of printing, the amount of time you have left to print bills and the current multiplier. Bonus time is collected throughout base gameplay, with an extra award of 20 seconds added at the start of the feature.
Throughout printing a series of buttons may appear, offering one of the following outcomes:
Blue buttons:
- Double the speed of printing.
- Double the value of the bills.
- End the feature.
Red button:
- Multiply the printing speed by 20x.
- Increase the value of the bills by 20x.
- End the feature.
Win Potential
The top payout of 3,200x is not massive compared to online slot standards, but it’s backed up by a solid RTP of 96% and medium volatility. That suggests there should be plenty of chances to trigger the bonus round – although that’s no guarantee of a big payout.
Bonus prizes are calculated according to the value of the bills, based on your multiplier, the duration of the bonus and the speed of printing. Adding in the buttons gives an interactive element that could increase the size of your payout – or could end the round in an instant!
Our Verdict
We don’t think Cash Printer Heist is going to be pulling in the high rollers, thanks to the relatively low payouts. Add in the fact that there are just three paylines, and that’s likely to put even more players off.
But we think this is a game that’s definitely worth a closer look, thanks to the fun bonus features. They trigger frequently enough to keep the game rattling along, and you have to witness the outfit that Martin considers suitable for a money-printing session – once seen, never forgotten!
