I don't get it! I've seen a few reskins in my time as a slot reviewer but never one that makes zero attempt to alter from the original. Perhaps the music is slightly different and the water seems a little clearer but apart from that, I don't know what this game is doing here being released in 2024. As usual, you have 5 reels and 3 rows with 10 paylines available to collect winning symbols. The royal symbols pay up to 10x across the board and this is for a group of 5 of them. Picture symbols grow from 20x to 200x for a five-of-a-kind win.
Fish will pay as regular symbols but they're also money symbols with other cash values attached to them. You can't do anything with these extra values until you reach the bonus game. That just about sums up the base game, so let's head off to the bonus round.

Practically nothing has changed between this and the original game, apart from a slight variation in the audio. It still looks great on mobile devices and a simple setup like this shouldn't cause any lag on slightly older mobiles. I think perhaps the bubbles are a little clearer on this version, but did that really warrant a remake?
I've come to the conclusion that Big Bass Bonanza Reel Action simply offers a chance for players outside the UK to buy directly into the bonus game. I don't think it existed on the original and that's the only reason I can see for rebooting this classic. That said, it's an iconic game and you can't fault it, so you might as well accept that this series is going to grow out of control while we watch!
