If someone left a load of cash sitting outside a bank vault and told you that you could simply walk off with it scott free, would you take it? Some of us might decide that busting open the vault is obviously the better decision, so now it's time to see what kind of bank robber you are!
You can either use dynamite or insert the key – those are your two choices for blasting open these big cash prizes!
You have five reels and three rows and there are also 25 paylines upon which you can land a standard win. The lowest payouts come from the royal symbols with rewards worth up to 1.6x, but they may be as low as 0.2x if you only see a group of three landing on one of the paylines.
There are five picture symbols with two of them offering up to 2x and the other two offering up to 4x. Wild symbols can also pay 1.5x, 3x or 6x. The wild symbols substitute for other regular payers and also offer multipliers worth between 2x and 20x.
The gold bar symbols are your bonus entry symbols and we'll have a little more on that in a moment. Up first is the key symbol and these offer cash prizes worth between 0.2x and 200x your stake. As they land, they're collected in the meter at the top of the game area and each time you successfully complete one of the meters, you move on to the next level.
Moving through the levels is beneficial because it increases the value of the safe offers. Five key symbols and a safe symbol can appear at the same time and trigger the Vault Break.
Standard safes offer values worth up to 2,000x but the big safe could pay you up to 5,000x. You have a choice to make here with the face value on the key symbols being offered against a secret payout hidden within the safe. You decide if you want to take the offer or go for the gamble.
The free spins bonus requires 3, 4 or 5 bonus symbols to land during the same spin. When this occurs, you'll have either 10, 15 or 20 free plays.
The bonus is an extension of the base game but you do have a better chance of triggering the Vault Break feature as you spin for free.
Players outside the UK can head directly into the bonus game and everyone can take on the ante bet at the cost of 1.5x your standard bet amount to make each spin twice as likely to trigger the free spins game. 60x will get 10 free spins, 150x picks up 15 free spins and the bonus max with its 20 spins selection costs for 100x.
To break this vault, you need at least five key symbols to land along with one of the safe symbols. Safes can be big or small and offer their own prizes in place of the key symbol values. It's up to you if you want to take a chance and open the safe or walk away with the key cash that's on offer.

I picked up a few smaller wins during the base game and I was even offered the Vault Break a couple of times. This happened once again during the free spins bonus where I was able to take the level 2 safe, which offered me a 20x payout. Other wins included 16x, 24x and 52x, making the bonus game the most valuable part of the creation. No surprises there, but it still showed me that there is a good amount of win potential in these reels. The max win could grow to 10,000x on a good day and The Vault Chase has medium volatility.
This game isn't even out yet but it feels dated already! There are a few simple graphics depicting the bank vault and the key meter at the top of the game area moves with some fairly rudimentary animations. Even though it's quite basic, you can still play on mobile phones, including iOS and Android.
Most of the excitement offered in the Vault Chase comes from the Vault Break feature with its Deal or No Deal style approach to offering prizes. Building up the levels means that you could see some much higher offers but even a level 6 safe only gave me 10x at one point. You may be better off taking what's in front of you instead of risking it. However, it's a nice added touch that makes an otherwise bog-standard game feel more acceptable.
