These ancient Egyptian rulers controlled pretty much everything in their day and they seem to have a monopoly on big wins as far as Push Gaming's latest creation is concerned. Nobody is sure exactly who the first pharaoh was but with 10 of them available in this game, you should find at least one with some pretty original powers.
The standard game format is 5x3 but there is an interesting option to push up the grid to create a 5x4 or 5x5 set of reels. The former will cost 2.5x and the latter boasts a 5x price tag. with the standard set of reels in play, you have 20 win lines but if you decide to boost them to a larger area, you can have 40 paylines. With all of the additional rows open during the bonus game, 60 paylines will be yours.
Across these lines, you must land groups of matching symbols which are made up of royals and other pictures. Royals create wins worth up to 1x and picture symbols can pay up to 30x.
Wild symbols also appear and substitute for those mentioned above whilst producing payouts worth up to 30x.

I saw a couple of smaller jackpot prizes land and these were useful given that even the Minor reward is worth 50x. Standard pharaoh instant wins were quite frequent as well and I didn't have too much trouble triggering the free spins bonus. The extra rows help by bringing in additional paylines and you might see the pharaoh symbols land a little more often.
Hidden among the scattered remains of a pharaoh's tomb, you'll find this fairly discrete grid providing a good view of the background and surrounding trinkets. That can change if you decide to increase the game area size and it will almost certainly take over the entire screen in the free spins bonus.
Along with the gold hue, there are lots of other colours that help the various elements stand out and this looks great on smaller mobile screens as well. The soundtrack is nice enough and you might even be tempted to leave it playing while you hit the spin button.
10 Pharaohs combine their powers quite effectively thanks to the generous instant prizes and my balance remained fairly attractive while I played. There aren't any clever features to bamboozle you and an instant cash ladder isn't exactly sparkly and new, but it does a decent job all the same.
