Tales of Mithrune Syn’s Fortune Review
Are you looking for a slot with mythical beings from ancient empires and perhaps some interesting features thrown in for good measure? Tales of Mithrune Syn’s Fortune could provide you with everything you need. The game’s main character, Syn, has a habit of upgrading symbols and there’s also a Power-Up mini-game before the Free Spins round, which dictates how the Free Spins round plays out.
The setting is an abandoned street in what seems to be an ancient Persian city—think Disney’s Aladdin. I assume due to his powers that Syn is something of a genie—don’t expect me to explain his tail and paws, though! The game’s epic music fittingly evokes the myths and legends of ancient empires, such as those of Greece, Rome and of course Persia—I was half expecting to see flying carpets shooting around. Nevertheless, the game is brightly coloured, well set out and very easy to follow.
The base game is quite engaging. While playing, I enjoyed capitalising on the Symbol Upgrade feature, for example. Using the Power-Up round to establish the parameters of the Free Spins round is a really nice touch, too. That said, you might have to spin a few times before you gain access to it.
The game’s volatility is only medium and the RTP of 96.21% is as generous as you might expect. I’d say the max win of 3,000x isn’t too bad considering how often winning combinations seemed to land while I was playing.
Tales of Mithrune Syn’s Fortune will definitely appeal to fans of the series, as it can easily be considered an upgrade to Play’n GO’s previous instalment. It’ll also be of interest to anyone who’s looking for a rather simple slot that's well-presented and has decent gameplay.
